Ford's 2018 F-150: Toning Down the Gas Guzzler Tendencies

Trucks go through a lot of fuel. It's not hard to figure out why. Most frequently built for power, they just generally have thirstier engines than you'd find in something smaller. One improvement the 2018 Ford F-150 will be making over its predecessor are engine options that deliver better fuel economy for less pain at the pump.

For those interested in more efficiency, the 2018 F-150 will offer the 3.3-liter V6. Replacing the 2017 truck's 3.5-liter engine, it's been rated for 19/22/25 MPG. The new F-150 will also have a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that can deliver 20/26/22 MPG.

While neither of these engines will deliver the same efficiency as a smaller car or sedan, they're still a step up from the guzzling that most people just accept from their trucks.
