Base Powertrain
The powertrain that is equipped to most new Ford Edge models is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine is capable of producing up to 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission transfers power from the 2.0-liter engine to the front wheels of the Edge.
Ford Edge ST
If power is one of the main features that you want from your SUV, then the Ford Edge ST can be a great mode for you. The Edge ST is one of the most-powerful models in the mid-size SUV category. A twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine is equipped in every Edge ST, allowing the SUV to have 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet available go it’s all-wheel drive drivetrain.
