If the Ford Mustang gets any more powerful and sexy, it’ll be a famous athlete. This ride is ripped, powerful, gorgeous and legendary. It’s also roomy inside, with a tech-rich cabin, plenty of driver assist and beastly engines under the hood. It all adds up to class-leading performance. Our NorthStar Ford team discusses favorite performance features below.
Launch Control
Have you ever spun your ride’s back wheels just because? Now you can, but for good reason. Pre-spinning your rear wheels raises engine power to an optimal range, eliminating the need to slip your clutch. The Ford Mustang’s Launch control locks the front brakes and releases the rear brakes, letting you spin your back wheels until the engine enters its power range.
Roar Quietly
Normal, Sport, Track and Quiet Start are names of settings for the Ford Mustang’s engine sound. A class-exclusive feature, each setting tweaks the Ford Mustang’s active valve exhaust performance sound effects, raising audible sound to a roar or reducing it to a whisper. Settings let you tweak engine sound to suit quieter times and or prime racing moments.
